A thousand blighters throwing up a thousand lighters
In hopes a thousand fires sparks another round of ire
The crowd’s desires of mire and I’ll interest
A choir seeking fulfilled diminished inspiring this
I feel relinquished grasps in clasps of collective
And thus feel disconnected from the mass in some respects it’s
Rather frustrating in fact it leaves me feeling lost
The bait that’s gathering the fish when the reel is tossed
Is a far cry from the snacks or meals I’ve placed
Their debauched detachment has made me feel displaced
Ironic the ensuing struggles not commerce versus conscience
But comments versus content to deaf ears and seeming noxious
To joy somehow a beating I can’t avoid
In the travels to the edge of the kind that leaves the toys
I fathom concepts that inspire but seem annoyed
Cause other things cause me to smile critiques avoided
This is probably making it worse this speech I’ve forged
Coming off holier than instead of holding my head
The pen I’m holding’s to mend not meant to point or defend
It’s meant to wholly connect no soapbox of dissent

Sometimes you come across an artist that is compelled to do what they do. I appreciate the musicality and the arrangement and the artistry of the songs.
